CHKACTJOB CHECK ACTIVE JOB TAAJOEL
The Check Active Job command determines whether a job or generic job name is active. This can be helpful in determining if a server job is active. TAA9893 is sent as an escape message if the specified parameters do not find a job. *JOBCTL authority is required to use CHKACTJOB.
