Source in QUSRTOOL was never fixed via PTFs. Instead informal update tapes were created. The tapes are available only on 1/4" cartridge. The last update tape was 3/15/95 for V2R3M0, V3R0M5 and V3R1M0. No additional update tapes are planned. In addition to containing fixes, and some new tools, the V3R1 update tapes include object code for PL/I objects. This was done to permit the majority of shops, who do not have PL/I compilers, to take advantage of the tools which required this object code.

If you use QUSRTOOL, we recommended that you obtain the latest update tape for the tools and apply it before creating all the tools. This will assure that you have the latest code and fixes available for the tools.

QUSRTOOL users can obtain an update tape by having their marketing rep request one from the QUSRTOOL node at RCHVMX2. It is distributed on 1/4" cartridge only. Please specify the release of OS/400 it is needed for. In V3R1M0, the tools will not create properly without an update tape.
