Updates

There are two types of updates available for TAA Productivity Tools, one is an upgrade, the other is a refresh:

Here are the dates of the latest refresh to TAA Productivity Tools for the various releases.

Follow these instructions to determine your current TAA Productivity Tools release level.

Upgrade

An upgrade is when you have upgraded the i5/OS release and/or i5 System hardware and you want the TAA Productivity Tools for your new software/hardware.  For example: You went from V6R1 to V7R1 of i5/OS, or you had a model 800 which was upgraded to a model 520.  The cost of this upgrade is based on the software tier/release you are upgrading from and the tier/release that you are going to.  See the Upgrade License Prices or use our Upgrade License Price Calculator.

Refresh

A refresh is when you want the latest version of the TAA Productivity Tools for your existing release.  A refresh of the tools becomes available approximately every 12 to 16 weeks and it contains the latest new tools, enhancements to existing tools and fixes. For example: You have the July 15, 2010 release of the V6R1 version of the tools.  You want to take advantage of some of the new tools that have been added to the product since that time, so you need to obtain a refresh for V6R1.  There is no 'upgrade charge' for a refresh at the same software tier if you have paid for maintenance, but there is a media charge of $30. Additional shipping charges apply if the destination is outside the continental USA.
